The Scroll

'The Scroll don’t just touch on a variety of musical forms, they kick the shit out of them with songs ranging from wistful, to edgy, to utterly psychotic.' Mike Adair (Exclaim!*@#)

Merging delicate beauty with vile, bombastic ugliness, The Scroll is generally characterized by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Deeh. Though often accompanied by a series of rotating guest divas lending their vocal skills to the mix, Deeh remains solely responsible for the band’s musical and artistic direction(s), glossing his lyrics with dark, unapologetic dry humor.

The Scroll are known for their extreme musical eclecticism, energetic live shows, ironic fashion sense and unpredictability.

The band’s first double album ‘Swan Soliloquy of a Deehrelict’ was finally unleashed on an unsuspecting public in May 2005 to favorable reviews. Many tours and music videos (all directed by Deeh) soon followed. That same year, the band also did music for the Canada Winter Games.

Finally, ‘...and the man who sees his own wraith…’ is released in mid 2009. It is The Scroll second full length album. Around this time, Damnzel became the official female vocalist of the band.

These days, The Scroll is officially a full band with extra members on the side. They’re planning to promote their second album with tours and videos.
